Go to a quiet room, take deep breaths, and think of something you love. Maybe it's a special place, or person. Another option is going and doin something just for you, get your nails done, take a shower, buy a new shirt, go pick flowers, whatever makes you happy, and can take your mind off a problem for a little bit so you can come back and reevaluate he situation.

I learned that bad emotions are just as good as any other emotions, so all you can do is welcome them in to your life and don't fight the need to be sad or scared sometimes. Everything will be just fine in the end.

You can hear your favorite music from your favorite artist. Or if music are not your style, you can watch funny video or a movie. Sometimes it'll make you forget the reasons why your emotions are overwhelming. You can also do your hobby like playing video games, skateboard, and swimming. Sleep will be a big help too. And the first aid is, control your breath. Try to conceal it. Say it to yourself.

Take a deep breath and find someone to talk to. It is very important for you to get some perspective on your problem. Being overwhelmed means you need to be able to prioritize, see a way out and not have the issue blown out of proportion in your head.

Go to a quiet place and take a few deep breaths. Tell yourself you're ok and you've been through worse. Then smile, your mind will read the smile and it will make you feel a little better.

when my emotions are overwhelming, first I should notice the beginning or arising of a feeling because something disturbing me or suprises me. it is a helpful thought to think about feelings as a warning signal of your mental system. it says "be careful" something is going on too much (if it is a danger). watch the feeling out of distance and give it a name, and wait till it gets weaker. in regular every feeling will fade away after time. in the next step you can try to understand, what the feeling tries to signal you. maybe you are angry, because something happening is unfair. recognizing this situation you can act on it. simpler ways could be to make a break, or watch out of the window.

For myself I just breath. I breath and I journal and I talk to others to help me see and realize that my emotions are valid to express. It can be a scary thing to except some emotions but I think it's important to recognize them and not hide them away. I have also found it helpful by cooking and focusing maybe my mind on something that I know will take some of my stress away, depending on the situation. Going for long walks also while listening to music helps me. Being a people person though, by talking to others that helps me the most. Words can heal, especially if they are coming from someone else.
