Try starting a journal. It's a great outlet and there's no judgement because it's your own personal thoughts. If you wanna share with a friend then do so and talk about it. Have your own counseling session.

You can write down how you feel on a piece of paper and then discard of it by ripping it into pieces and throwing it away. You could try drawing and doodling what you feel, sometimes putting feelings into an art form is really useful ! Or you could of course try talking to someone, in person or even on here !

I find that the best thing to do is to pause. Stop everything for a moment. Take a breath. Take a few deep breaths. Check your body language. If you're in a safe space, take note of the tenseness of your muscles. Try your best to relax them. If applicable to your situation, ask yourself "What's really going on here? What are the possible reasons why I feel this way?".

There are many ways that you can deal with emotions and they include, writing (whether it is how you feel, some form of creative writing or another form), exercise (running or yoga are good examples), talking to someone about how you feel, meditation, taking a moment to yourself away from a situation that you are in. Overall, it all depends on what you find helpful, but they are a list of things that can be tried.

Generally, if you have overwhelming emotions, its due to the emotions being bottled up, or not dealt with for a period of time, then it gets so built up, and too much to handle, that it becomes overwhelming. What you can do to help, is to write down all the things that are bothering you. Also, you should try talking to someone, a parent, a friend, a counsellor, a trusted lemons that will positively affect your life, and support you. Good luck!

Personally I looked at all that was taking place in my life, I cut out the chunks of things that caused me to become sad, anxious, depressed, ect. I then took time for myself to help me gain my confidence back.

I wonder whether you feel overwhelmed by all feelings or some are more overwhelming than others. Can you think of a time when you had a really strong emotion and managed it or got through it.
