Usually we become stressed out when we have too much on our plates, therefore some of the best things to do are: (1) Write out a to-do list, (2) tackle ONE item on the list at a time, and (3) if a task is particularly challenging/long, then split it up into segments and take breaks every 15-25 minutes or so.

You can try setting a timer for 1 minute, and breathing in until the last digit shows a zero, and breathing out until the last digit shows a five. This relaxes many people.

Stress can be very difficult and to deal with it a lot is really hard. I've found that writing the positives in a bad situation helps. Like, If you say something to somebody that you shouldn't of said - You would learn from it, so there's always something good in a bad situation. I find that it helps to keep positive!

There are so many techniques that can work wonders! Maybe if your a planner, organizing and compartmentalizing the stressors; Make a list of things and handle each stressor individually. One thing is much easier to tackle than many. Take some you time, no matter what is going on, schedule a dedicated block of time you can dedicate to relaxing preferred activities. If your finding in the moment it's hard to get out of your head, grounding techniques such as listing 5 things that invoke your senses (what do you see, taste, hear ect) or even deep breathing can help. When in doubt, one of the lovely listeners here at 7 cups might offer an ear and even more suggestions!

You can always take two minutes every day, to just clear your mind and breathe. Plan out your day before it takes place so that you feel more prepared for what's ahead. Stress and anxiety are common enemies, but a clear enough mind can stop them with ease.

I find that exercise is a good way to cope with stress. Also, getting things in order. So making to do lists and setting goals will give some rest. And what also helps: treat yourself, be nice to yourself.
