My mind is always chatting, I can not seem to control overthinking. I am unable to concentrate and can not sleep despite use of sleeping pills. Mostly mind chatting when I am idle, driving, bathroom, bed. Are there things I can do to control this a bit more?

Dear,
1. You can automatically gain control on your thoughts and build concentration on important ones by writing or recording 'whatever' that comes to mind for 30 mins or so. Say no only after trying, because it works. Start writing, by writing about random topics running in your mind. Your thoughts want conclusion that's why they keep running in head. Once you write them down, your mind gets relived. Its like medicine for the mind. Or you can call it therapy or exercise for mind that affects positively. No side effects of this medicine.
2. Developing a 'CREATIVE' habit (singing, dancing,writing, drawing, sketching, gardening, making mould, playing instrument etc) to develop channel for energy to flow (accumulated in form of thoughts) to feel happiness, contentment inside. It helps your 'self' to feel creator, student, manager, fate desidor of certain things that are done by you only in that(your) particular way. Developing new habit allows mind to focus on ways to approach your choice of activity, building the ideas and managing it. Mind feels better. It gets trained to think less about stuffs worrying you again, and again. Instead, you get ideas to solve the conflicts going in mind.
