I think it's normal. Emotion is part of our life. We're not machine, we have soul, and many decisions in life can be driven by the magnitude of emotion. Occasionally, if we're keeping too much to ourselves, without proper acknowledgment to our feelings and the emotion part, it could possibly be triggered by something. I don't it see any weird of unacceptable. At very least, because we're human, we have emotions, most importantly is to channel it in the right way. :)

To an extent, yes. Normal is a tentative word though. For instance, if a woman is PMSing, she may have more emotion-flipping than somebody who just isn't. Or a man who is hungry may be more emotional than a non-hungry man. If you find that the constant changing of emotions is really wearing you out and it's a regular occurrence, then perhaps visit your doctor or a therapist to see if you are experiencing symptoms of bipolar disorder, a common form of depression that is characterized by the emotional ups and downs it causes.

Yes, mood swings can happen when you are under immense pressure or confusion. Your mind is just struggling to comprehend the situation and doesn't understand how to react.

I have no idea, not a clue what it means to "flip" emotions? You would have to explain that further.

Yes, it is perfectly normal. There maybe times when you are happy one moment, sad the next or you just don't feel anything. I may be because of a mental disorder or just mood swings.
