This is a tricky one, and I know this sounds extremely cliche BUT forgiveness and moving on is a major thing here. In order to deal the hatred in your heart, you need to think about what this person did and ask maybe why they did it. But try to forgive them and focus on you and your plans. They hurt you but it doesnt mean it should you back for the rest of your life. Make them rue the day they ever hurt you by being the bigger and better person and doing something with your life. Something amazing! I hope everything goes well!

You don't have to be the perfect survivor. I can imagine that would be a really difficult feeling to feel like you have to deal with or get over your emotions towards people who were so hurtful to you. I am sorry you went through that abuse and I want you do know that you didn't deserve it. Whatever happened was not your fault and your anger is valid as it is. In terms of coping with the hate for you I would suggest talking to a therapist, journaling, making art, running, or doing something for you (not them).

Hate hurts. And sometimes it does not stop hurting. It is a long and hurtful process but letting go of that hate is probably one of the most wonderful and beautiful things that I have ever done. Now I can focus on myself and my own healing. Hate corrodes you from the inside out. It takes away your self confidence and ability to be your true and happy self. The more I worked on my self confidence, and realized that I did not need that hate to drive me anymore. That all I needed was my own awesome self, that hate became less and less.
