When you don't have to ask yourself constatly if you're truly happy or not, i.e., when being truly happy becomes a constant state of mind and you embrance it with normality

You are truly happy when you love, care and respect yourself, when you are satisfied with what you have and don't have too many expectations. When you feel a positive aura around yourself and don't depend on others for motivation.

There is no such thing as "truly happy". A "perfect" life or situation doesn't exist. There is always room for improvement. But this doesn't mean you can't be content with your situation. Try to make the best of your situation and accept things you can't change or push through them until you can be in a better situation. But know when to stop and just be content.

True happiness is not short term excitement or joy, it is the content feeling that you are where you need to be in your journey of life. True happiness is when your ability, your gift, your strength, your passion drives what you do. In other words there is consistency between your being and your doing.

You know you're happy when the insecurities and anxieties you have always faced are a simple challenge and no longer an obstacle. You know you're happy when you are at peace with who you are; When you can express gratitude, when you can meditate on what you have. You know you're happy when the present day is your favorite day.

Happiness can mean so many different things to different people. In my case, I think true happiness comes from contentment and a strong sense of purpose. This all sounds really abstract, doesn't it.
But one can feel contentment from gratitude -- being grateful for what we have, realizing that we are so incredibly lucky to have what we have and sometimes even thinking wow that was more than I even asked for, more than I realized I deserve - I am content.
A sense of purpose is a deep connection with WHY we do the things we do each day. It is, for me, realizing that I want to be able to spend each day in a micro-step towards that purpose. And with each step, reconnecting with the WHY gives me a sense of contentment too.
Happiness isn't always being surrounded by love, the best family, best friends, always laughing, always smiles, always positive... but I think happiness is a sense of safety in the face of challenges. And happiness isn't a lasting "peak" state -- it can come and go, and that's what our emotions are - our emotions have ranges for good reason! But in true happiness, we have come to terms with the ups and downs and even when we don't know if we can overcome the downs and sustain the ups, we still feel grateful, content and connected to our Why.

When you finally let go of all your issues and just embrace who you are as a person and love the people who support you and accept you for you. And you can also ignore all the negativity in you.
To me, to know how I am truly happy, is when I look back at my past pains and tell them, "You taught me to be a better person and now I can look at you smiling and waving goodbye".
Being truly happy means you do not have to overthink about anything, you enjoy the moment you have and be the best you can be. You can smile and laugh with no worries and even look at your enemies and say "Hey, look at me! I feel free". I think being truly happy feels as if you are floating on the air.
Yes, it takes time, but we will somehow get there one way or another. As long as you learn how to better yourself as a person and at the same time accept who you are, you are leading to the path of happiness.
I give out my best wishes to everybody who is seeking to be truly happy!
