It's not easy to stop thinking about it. But, you can divert your mind by making yourself busy in something. Actually in my case, it took around some years to get out of it. But, lately i realized that it's all about our activities that we do daily. Start reading inspirational books, play hard outside with friends, have a loud communication with family members, hear music but that should not remind the thought of death, travel some where and enjoy the pleasure. Am sure, by this way, anyone can get out of the dwell thoughts of death. Think about it, life is short to regret and so start enjoying each moment. Good luck!

Appreciate life and know that there is someone that is dead that had intentions of living. Life is amazing, we just have to learn to cope with the pressures of this world.

Bible verses made me fear death more than the desire to die. I decided to escape society for awhile and commune with nature. My happy place saves me.

Fearing death is very common. I mean, nobody actually knows what happens next and the way of not knowing is quite scary. Thinking about death, is also common too and wanting to die is a feeling that, although horrible, happens when people are down and low. To take your mind of these emotions, focus on something that makes you thankful you're alive! A relaxing bath, a good book, an exciting film, some enjoyable music - you pick! Death, however, is not the answer.

You need to get help and speak to a therapist. If you fear death it's because you don't know what to expect. You are afraid of what might happen, when actually that's the one thing we can't control. Deal with the here and now and rather than asking yourself this question, ask yourself why are you so unhappy? What is going to make your life better?

The feeling of wanting to die is not a real one. It is actually a call for a drastic change to a complex problem. As humans we feel that the best way to achieve this drastic change is to die however this is not the case. Find something you enjoy. Pursue it, whether it be a hobby or lifestyle change. Do your best to loosen all ties with that initial complex problem. By doing this you will create this drastic change in your life removing the possibility of death.

You can't simply Stop thinking about it. But you can find a way to manage it. Grab a marker, every time you find yourself having these dark thoughts put a dot on your arm. By the end of the day you will see how many times you've had these thoughts. This will make you more conscious of such thoughts and allow you to manage it better. Then you can change your thinking, but quickly jumping to happier thoughts, or distracting yourself so that you don't allow yourself to think so darkly so often.
