Whenever i feel like I would be better off dead I think of the people you leave behind. You may not think people love you but you'd be surprised how many do and how many people would be genuinely sad about it. And a lot of problems are fixable, it's just finding the help and taking that leap of faith :) and remember any reason, however small or silly it may feel, is always enough to stay alive

I'm sorry that's a topic on your mind right now-- That sounds stressful. I'm glad you've asked this question, though. It seems like you want to change something. So first off, after years of pondering what death would be like, it came time for me to change my mindset. I was not tired of life, I was tired about thinking of death. There's no immediate fix to things like this; It's much more on how you perceive things and changing your mindset. One way, one method I use is a DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) skill called "Opposite Emotion". This is basically you catch yourself having a negative or unrealistic thought. You change your thought to the opposite thing. It can also help some people with managing their emotions. Say, I'm having thoughts of yelling at someone who cut in my lane during driving. Instead, focus on something other than that. Think of the scenery, think of art, but try to shift your focus off the topic of whatever is troubling you. It doesn't work for everyone, or it might take time to work. There's no magic. It's a long process in retraining your brain to think different.

Take a moment of your day to just lay on bed, and listen to your surroundings. Close your eyes if wanted. Then, stand up and look out a window. Look at trees, look at the clouds, look the people walking. You're feeling like there's no point to any of this, but look closely to a bird, or perhaps a butterfly. Look how beautiful this world actually is, and realize that without you, it wouldn't be the same.

I get in that mode every so often and it's hard for me to get out of it and I really really hate that feeling. What I found that helped me is going out and doing things that I like to do and having fun. Eventually I realized that I have stopped thinking about that and feel a lot better.

Try thinking of the opposite, if that doesn't help try figuring out why you are obsessing to begin with and try to face that fear.

Make a list in your head/on paper about each and every single thing (big and small) that you are thankful for. Think about ways you could positively impact the lives of people in your local community, globally online, and through any volunteer work. Engage a hobby or interest you enjoy and pursue it. Try new and fun activities you have not tried before. Explore new areas of interest to learn about. Find your passion in life and let that be your motivation. Find an activity that not only makes you feel good, but makes you feel part of something important or part of a community.
