I think the best way to stop thinking about something is to accept that you are thinking about it and then let your mind wander from there. If it keeps returning to that issue then an open conversation with someone you trust on the subject may be invaluable. Any fear can become less frightening if we shine a little light on it.

Think about your purpose in life instead. You may not have one now but you can look for one. It can be anything like being on the journey of constant self-improvement or providing any help and support to certain communities in need. Introspect, ask yourself what is important to you that deeply affects you.

You should talk to someone about what you're feeling - someone you trust and feel safe with. To continuously think about death can be unhealthy and potentially dangerous towards you and the others around you. It is healthy to talk your feelings out with someone and address the source of your continuous thinking of death.

Try to think about what makes you happy. Even if it's unreal and just something in your imagination, think about the good things that happened to you. Try to be stronger than the thoughts. You are stronger and you need to trust yourself in everything you do...

Think more about reasons to live rather than to not. There is no simple solution to it, but rather than allowing pessimism to take control of your thoughts you must try to see motivation to wake up tomorrow. Look forward to things, plan!

Death is an unavoidable, normal, part of life. Most people leave this world pretty comfortably, and there are ways to make it more comfortable too. Remember that it is just something that happens, and the world carries on but there'll always be memories so have as many nice times as you can.

I think the best way to do that is to recognise that you’re living right now. It might seem obvious, but most of us move through everyday in this state of trance, this unconsciousness. Go somewhere where there are no distractions, close your eyes, and just slowly focus on your breathing. The inhale, the exhale, the tiny flare of your nostril when you do it. And slowly imagine a sky filled with thousands of stars, and you see the earth revolving there, amidst all that million of miles and miles of space. A rock, and you’re there on that rock with it, going through this vast space, with other planets, with the sun showering it’s warmth. You are part of this galactic journey, a part of this universe and you know you will always be.
