When something makes me very sad that I cry, I have found that writing in a journal helps me to get out the reasons why I am sad, and set that feeling aside. If it is recurring I can see why I was sad earlier, and see what has changed about that feeling over a period of time. Sometimes it feels good to just let myself cry things out privately. Crying is nothing I think anyone needs to be ashamed of.

Go and get your love. Hug someone that makes you feel secured and cry out loud. Don't supress yourself. Supressing yourself makes you more anxious. Let it out.

I think it's healthier to let it all out.. But if you really need to hold it in, try some breathing exercises and try to put on a more positive mindset.. either that or look for comfort from people around you.
