Well i suggest taking a journey to self realization. the only way to develop your own personal set of standards is to find out who you are, who you are not, what you want, what you don't want, what you like and what you don't like. You have to realize that there's a difference between how people see you and how you see yourself, and that self perspective will enable you to develop your personal standards. Now how do you determine who determine who you are and what you like and what you don't like, how do you know you like your coffee black or with milk, you drink both and you decide, you choose one or both, you experiment with everything so you can know who you are everywhere.

It’s tough to say that my set of standards are completely my own as the influence from those around me has caused transformations to it. However, I find that I value hard-work, compassion and kindness the most in life. Aside from striving to be the best academically, I try to make sure I can make a positive difference to someone - as simple as making someone smile. I think carefully about my limitations and what I can and cannot do, and try my best to embody the aforementioned characteristics, emulating them into any task I pursue. For if I am able to just inspire and gain the respect of just one person, I think I’ve attained my highest personal standard: winning the hearts of others. Nonetheless, in terms of work, I develop my standards from the love of learning itself and let achievements motivate me further.
