You could stop suppressing your emotions by finding ways to help you ease it and or talking it out with someone you know.

Suppressing your emotions can be hard to handle. There isn't a 100% method that will work every time and for everyone. You could try practicing grounding techniques, mindfulness, and/or meditation. Try reaching out to someone you'd likely not talk to about what you're feeling, I find that this can make me, personally, open up more. Good luck!

You are here asking the question... That is a good start! For me, I have found sitting in on discussions and actively listening to others has helped a lot. After a while I felt comfortable to connect with someone and share or relate with another's story. Those initial connections were very encouraging and motivated me to connect more with others. I started feeling lighter as I moved out of my shell and let others in.

to accept that you have feelings is a good and healthy thing. First try letting out little parts by talking about your emotions to someone you trust, or talk with someone here on 7 cups of tea who will support you if you need them.

Take your time, maybe even schedule in time to think about nothing else than your emotions. Choose a private, safe time and place where you can be alone and where you are comfortable. Start doing this regularly and incorporate this more and more into your everyday life until you feel more comfortable with your emotions

acknowledging them and expressing yourself is the key solution. You're human, you have feelings and those need to be expressed. Everyone has them, it's totally normal.

Break it down to the most common emotion. If you're feeling anxiety, frustration and can't move on, the base emotion is fear. Once you find that base emotion inside, just sit with it and empathize as if you're listening to a friend. It's okay to feel each emotion. Don't try to take on more than one big emotion at a time. Identify the base emotion, sit with it, write it out, tell someone who will listen, and value it as a part of who you are. There's no shame in feeling fear, or shame, or anger. It's only how we choose to act on our emotions that might cause us trouble.
