A main thing to remember is to make sure your sleeping pattern is right for you. Try not to stay awake until the early hours of the morning, or stay in bed until the afternoon as this may make you feel less motivated. Find something you enjoy and make a action plan to complete activities. Finding something you enjoy to do will help you gain motivation, especially if you make a routine, whether it's going for a walk, cleaning your room or even having a shower at a certain time of day.

Find a hobby, something to immerse yourself in. Something that makes you buzz on the inside and out. Not drugs or alcohol, but something that you find yourself wishing you were doing when you are alone. Something that you dont need to rely on other people for. Art, music, anything you want. Something where you can express yourself and that shapes you.

Well, it depends on how you start your day. Exercise, take a bath, don't let the bed seduce you. Stay away from it as much as possible. Hydrate yourself. It helps, big time!

I think it's ok to be lazy sometimes, if lazy means doing a minimum of things during the day. Sometimes we need to rewind if we've been busy. Or maybe we just have a lot of thoughts on our mind that take a lot of energy. But it's good to try to get outdoors, maybe just for a walk to the local shop. Both to get fresh air and exercise, but also to see people and push our comfort zone. You might not be able to do this at once and I think it's natural to have a preparation period before doing something that feels uncomfortable. But aim to do it at some point, and aim to be around other people regularly. I think we are social people all of us and we want connections. So do a course or start listening and helping people on 7 cups. I think that would make a positive difference.

What if it weren't laziness? What if what you are really feeling... is fear? Often, we avoid doing things because we feel scared, or blocked. Getting up and doing things, and participating will often cause change to happen, and change -- can be scary. It's often easier to stay with what you know, even if it makes you unhappy or frustrates you, than to take a risk on something that may or not be better. Or that may stir up some intense feelings, as getting up and moving, both physically and emotionally/mentally, can do just that. What if you were to set one tiny little goal for yourself per day? Something small? Do that for a week, then try two per day. Then move on to the bigger goals you have in life. If and when it gets overwhelming, stop. Take a breath. Take another breath. Focus on your breathing. It might be easier to get into new habits of doing things, instead of being "lazy," with tiny steps and self-care along the way.

I tend to find that the things that make me lazy are when I give my mind an opportunity to come up with an excuse not to do it. For example if the day before I decided that I was going to the gym when I wake up then after I've woken up my brain all of a sudden will try to think things like "maybe I'm too tired or maybe I'm too ill to go today" The trick is to accept that you're going to do x activity regardless and ignore those thoughts that try to get in the way.
