I try to find the reason I’m feeling those emotions. I have pretty intense anger issues, so when I’m overwhelmed with anger I’ll try and find the source of it. Usually, the cause is something I’m worried or sad about. If I find the cause, I can acknowledge why I’m feeling how I am, and try to move past it.

One of the things I try to do when I have a lot of things on my mind but I need to focus is write whatever it is I am worrying about or concerned about down. That way I have no fear of forgetting the important things that are taking up my head-space. I live using the app Moodpath. The app is great track moods as well as the things I'm thinking about and what I was doing before or during the thoughts. I've heard of a few people doing this so hopefully it will assist you like it did me!
