Isolation is when you are completely cut off from other people, no interactions, not even seeing other people. Like in a hospital ward, patiens can get isolated by being locked up alone in a room with no contact with others. Loneliness is when you are, for example, surrounded by people, your friends but you still feel lonely, like being invisble or feeling misunderstood.

Isolation is being voided of people entirely. Lonliness doesn't mean you are isolated in general, it just means you feel lonely. You can be with 100 people in the room while being in a corner experiencing loneliness, but isolation is either putting yourself, or being put directly away from people in general.
