You find a friend, near you in a similar circumstance.
If you are a young female in her first job, look for another young female in her first job.
If you are a middle age man with a wife and kids, look for another middle age man with a wife and kids.
Spend time together, either going out to a bar/restaurant/coffee shop to chat and meet people if you are single.
Or have lunch together once a week, or after work drinks, if you are a married guys.
Talk about the issues you are going through, and they should be similar for your friend. You can listen to each other and console each other or swap advice.

I think that you've found the right place to start. This platform has always been here for me whenever I have gone through something, but it is obviously not real-life. You should try to find a therapist that is close to you. Most people are scared to ask help from a therapist because they feel that their problems aren't big enough, or that there is someone else who is struggling more than they are. Truth is, most people need a therapist, just so they can cope with the events that they are going through. So until you have found a real-life therapist who can help you, 7cups is always here if you need someone to talk to.
