To stop feeling so isolated I think it's good to go out and do something or be a part of something. It's better to do something rather than wait for it to pass because you can't be certain when that will happen.

When we feel isolated we often feel that we are different to others, something is wrong with us, so self-kindness is very important, acknowledging the pain, change negative thoughts about feeling lonely and isolated as well as trying to reach out, to find contact to others, finding friends in a social setting like gym, nature walks, online.

Get busy. Do things to consume your time. When your schedule is full of activities that keep you productive and distracted, you won't have the time to dwell on the fact that you are lonely. Volunteer. Find a part-time job. Join a book club, or a new gym with interesting group classes. Tackle a few DIY projects. Just get out of your head.

You can start talking with people more. It could even just be family or like one friend. Try to go outside and to different social places more. It takes a while to feel comfortable so keep at it. Also you might not be as isolated as you feel. Just try to go out more or meet new people.

At first understand what's the main reason that made you isolate yourself. What's the fear that made you feel like you are not okay with your surroundings. What were your thoughts after you isolated yourself and what consequences did it bring you to. This is a tough task, but thinking about it all and trying not to overthink it at the same time will help you understand the cause. Once you understand the cause you will eventually start thinking towards the solution as well.
