If you're queer, you're not straight. Anybody who is questioning, bi, pan, aro, ace, poly, gay, demi, or has a fluctuating sexuality is considered queer. Something to note is that queer is a slur, and though it's been reclaimed by those who are in the LGBTQA+ community, it's still a personal choice as to whether or not you use the term. If you identify as genderqueer, you do not identify as cisgender.

Being Queer just means that somebody does not identify as either straight (heterosexual or exclusively being attracted to people of a gender other than their own) or cisgendered (meaning that they identify as the same gender they were assigned at birth, usually by a doctor) or both. Queer is an umbrella term and many identities fall under it but some use it to describe their gender or sexuality not in an umbrella term way but just as the label they feel most comfortable with!
