What did my friend mean when he said I'm "versatile" ?

Well from a personal view if he is gay it means he is a top and bottom. I a other prospective it could mean he can adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities.

To use a baseball analogy, some men like to catch, some men like to pitch. Your friend likes to pitch and catch.

Did your friend refer to your sexual orientation, or gender identity? In the first case, maybe they meant bisexual, in the second, possibly it was something like non-binary. Sometimes people call "versatile" the identities that do not include "picking just one side". Whatever that meant, you're the only one who knows your true identity, it's up to you to determine it, not your friends.

Versatility is just another term for flexibility, and your friend means that you're a 'jack of all trades' (for lack of better term)--- where it sounds like you adapt to many situations and /or have many different skills applicable in a variety of situations. Which, I might add, is an excellent thing. Simply because being adaptable to situations and circumstances makes things less difficult.

I don't know what your friend specifically meant, that's something they should explain to you, maybe. But if I were to guess, I'd say that it means that you adapt to different situations quickly, and you can do all sorts of new things, you have a big variety of things you like doing and enjoy doing and so you're fun to be around.

If he was speaking in terms of sexuality he probably meant that you like more than one gender. But versatile can mean a ton of different things since it's an analogy. better ask him.

It means you can adapt easily to something. A versatile chef can cook almost anything, or a football player can play any position

Probably that you have a lot of diverse skills, and traits; you easily adapt them to new situations.

Versatile is someone that can adapt to anything anywhere. You are easy going and you can get comfortable where ever you are.
