Today my gender dysphoria isn’t as bad as it usually is. Does that make me a fake transgender? Did I come out for nothing?

Feelings are not necessarily constant all the time, even the ones that are more radicated. There are many reasons why they could not be as strong as usual in a specific moment. It doesn't invalidate your identity! Being trans isn't based on how badly you suffer. It's based on how you see, perceive and identify yourself. If you still identify as the gender opposite to your biological sex, you are trans, no matter how strong your dysphoria is. And coming out is never for nothing. Sharing your identity and expressing yourself freely is always important!

This does not make you a "fake transgender" at all. Story time: I'm FtM, and I feel very confident some days, but other days? I look into the mirror and get so sad. I have my menses, and I don't feel like a man. But then the next day comes, and I'll be fine. I can do my hair and groom, and be perfectly okay with *me* in the mirror. Gender dysphoria comes and goes in waves. Just because you don't feel it one day, doesn't mean it won't come back another ... and vice versa. For some, gender dysphoria is a minor hum in the back of their mind, and they can cope with it rather well. For others, it's a crippling emotional sensation which leads to severe anxiety and depression. It doesn't make you more or less a transgender person on how strongly you feel gender dysphoria. It's just who you are, and how you personally feel and cope with it - your personal journey.
