It is tough when people belittle you continuously and you are unable to find your true voice. You want to tell them who you really are but they seem to be not interested. It happens with most of the people at some time in their lives. You might feel people are unable to understand you and are trying to put your feelings down. However it is important to note that all those people should not matter to you and the ones who matter will take care of your feelings. If they don't, then there is nothing to feel bad about it. I can understand you might feel hurt but it doesn't affect your true identity to who you really are. I am sure the people who put you down are also aware of your true identity even if they may not accept it. So it is important to just express yourselves to people who matter more and if they don't care, it doesn't change anything about your true identity. You can still feel proud about yourself as long as you know you expressed your feelings.
