A chosen family is built by people who are brought together not by blood ties, but shared love, empathy, care. In a chosen family people feel safe with each other and can show their true self, including their vulnerabilities, knowing they will welcomed as they are and cared for. A chosen family is usually built by "finding" each other through common values and perspectives, but every "chosen family" is different. Each family has their own "core": a common belief, a shared experience, relating to each other's identity... Find what is important for you, and find other people who value the same thing. And once you find each other, build and maintain bonds of trust and care.
