I Hear you wanting to know if you are Transgendered. I think the first thing to so is to ask yourself if you feel out of place in the body that you are in right now. I experienced this self question when I chose to come out to my family about being gay, Feelings of shame and guilt are often in the center of a huge ball of scared feelings. Scared of whom will support you whatever the answer is. I would suggest speaking with one of the therapists here at 7 Cups from the resource board. I am sure they can help you to decipher the mystery that you are struggling with.

Being transgender means that you don't identify with your assigned gender at birth, and so if you're questioning your assigned gender you're most likely transgender, but how you do this can differ from person to person. For example some trans people have gender dysphoria, which causes them to feel horrible about themselves because for some reason (say physically or socially) they feel a dissonance between their assigned gender at birth and how they actually identify, but you can be transgender and not actually experience this.

I can only speak from my personal experience. There is a dissatisfaction often hate of who and what you are and anger and frustration that you may not be able to explain. There may be a need to explore or acquire objects of the opposite gender. For instance trying on ladies clothing to see how you look. Shaving to stimulate hair growth on your face if you need to feel right about yourself. I could go on and on. You are trying to feel normal. It usually takes a professional like a Psychologist to show you that you are exhibiting symptoms of a condition called Gender Dysphoria.

Sometimes, you just know. In most cases, however, it unfortunately just takes time, which is an answer most people don't want to hear. It takes a lot of self discovery and self evaluation sometimes.

Likely, you are the gender that you are but you don’t feel you fit into societies mold of what that consists of. You can be both and everything in between, just be true to who you are. No one has the answers for how you live your life other than you. You are the creator. And if you feel good expressing yourself outside the norm, stand tall in that.

one might notice they are transgender if they do not feel as though they match their assigned gender at birth, whether they feel as though they are the other side of the binary or otherwise.
