As humans, our biggest fear is our mortality. You are right, it is a certain thing in life and that's probably what makes us more afraid. We feel as if we are waiting for the inevitable. A few years ago something happened that changed my perspective on mortality. A friend that I had gone to school with passed away, very young. What made this worse was that this friend had lost her sister (also very young) a few years earlier. Instead of feeling more scared of death and mortality, I experienced a new feeling. I was extremely grateful for the life I had. I still think about this friend often, I think that she isn't here anymore to enjoy life as I can, and it makes me love people and experiences around me even more. One day, it will be our time. That's what makes every moment more special, you just need to embrace it.
