Fear of the unknown. Death is very unknown. Everyone hopes their is something after we die, but yet we won't know until we die. Trying to focus on life in the present and enjoying as much of life as possible so at least you know you lived when death calls.

Because you don’t know what might happen. We will always fear the unknown for what it is.
It might be the only certain thing in life but past being the only thing, we have no knowledge about it. That is what makes you afraid.
All the uncertain things in life have answers, research behind it but death does not.
That doesn’t mean you should stay afraid. You should use that fear to drive you in life. Let it fuel you to achieve your dreams, to follow your heart!

As humans, our biggest fear is our mortality. You are right, it is a certain thing in life and that's probably what makes us more afraid. We feel as if we are waiting for the inevitable. A few years ago something happened that changed my perspective on mortality. A friend that I had gone to school with passed away, very young. What made this worse was that this friend had lost her sister (also very young) a few years earlier. Instead of feeling more scared of death and mortality, I experienced a new feeling. I was extremely grateful for the life I had. I still think about this friend often, I think that she isn't here anymore to enjoy life as I can, and it makes me love people and experiences around me even more. One day, it will be our time. That's what makes every moment more special, you just need to embrace it.
I've not been able to cry for a very long time, and I really need to. Is there a method to induce crying and letting it all out ?
