Try again with another person. Some people will never understand you, others will understand you instantly. It is just a matter of the experiences they have had up until this point in their lives. Keep on talking and soon enough, you will find someone who does. You're in the right place looking if you are here. I hope that helps.

The odds of absolutely no one understanding you is a bit slim, as strange and miraculous and out of the box and creative or as emotional as you are. It matters not how you view yourself for others are guaranteed to view you in their own multi faceted way, anyway. Funny enough, whether you feel understood or not. Now, in feeling misunderstood, there is a sense of feeling alone and kind of floating around without much of a niche anywhere. However, this should be taken as an indication of growth and of self-discovery more than how other people perceive you or whether you get along well with them or not. As a person who feels misunderstood, accepting the uniqueness of who you are is a big deal. I am someone who wholeheartedly believes in everyone's personal brand of being-ness but I understand that it often seems and it may be the case that others would look as if they are getting on much better than you are. However, comparison is not your friend and makes no sense in the larger scheme of things. Comparison ultimately ruins personal integrity for who you are does not deserve to be held up against anything. Let yourself go, let yourself feel, there is an opportunity in feeling misunderstood for further personal understanding. There is strength in standing up on your own and realizing that it is sometimes going to feel like you are alone on that platform. There is nothing wrong with that and simply means you know who you are. At least in many ways. Not everyone is going to understand you. And sometimes as we grow and as we feel and as we experience, that circle of people who will "understand" may get smaller and smaller. At least in the way it feels. But this is because of your own refinement of self. When you are going through much, so will the world around you change appropriately to your own inner circumstances. What you need will change, how you view things will change, therefore nothing outside of you can stay the same. Including how much you will feel connected to people or the kind of people you connect to. So, there is a lot of ways of going about this and I think ultimately we have to have an understanding of ourselves first, with that, we understand that either way, we are enough. When we finally realize we are enough and accept that feeling of being misunderstood as an invitation to a new version of ourselves and our lives, new will always follow. There will always be more people more places more situations and to satisfy your need for fulfillment.

It feels very lonely when you have a feeling that people do not understand you. Maybe it is not that they do not understand but that they do not accept.

It is okay when you feel no one understand you. Please don't start with self-blame. I did that before. It hurt my self-esteem. Do you want others to understand you? Have you considered doing self-reflection to figure out your communication style? Or have you asked others whether they could understand you after you just told them something? If you can get some feedback, it is certainly going to help verify your understanding of the situation. We believe we know what we are talking about. But often it may not be the case. That is why you need to find out whether you can do something about it.

Imagine  someone from a foreign country with a different culture, lifestyle, communication...  unable to voice his/her needs, wants, anything.  Imagine a homeless person who is able to communicate but no one wants to listen. Imagine an animal trying to communicate to a human only to have its life shortened. Just imagine no one understands you even though you speak the same language and you are in a roomful of people.Imagine the same scenario with someone who cares enough to listen and it does not matter if you speak in his/her language. What a beautiful world that would be for those who are different if everyone cares.
