One way could be to talk things out with people, especially one to one with a listener here on 7 cups. Alternatively if you don't find talking particularly easy you could always try keeping a diary/journal, it doesn't have to be a written one in particular it could be a picture diary, where you draw what you feel. You could scribble anything you like just to help get some emotion out. Basically getting the emotions out of your system particularly anger is a good way to stop things piling up. Art, Writing, Physical exertion, music, those sorts of things will all help with this; it's just about finding the one that works best for you :)

Make a list. I am a huge believer in lists, there is something incredibly therapeutic in marking things off your to do list. Sit down and write out everything you need to do that day and take it one step at a time.

Talk Talk Talk. I use my friends to be a sounding board when I am feeling especially overwhelmed. The trick though i think is being willing to let go of what it was after venting it. you can talk about anything, but if you don't let it go, then it is still there and gets built on next time you endure a hardship.
