Therapists will never ask to see self harm marks unless they are putting you in immediate danger. (ie: If you are still bleeding out and/or they are infected and putting your health in danger.) I have talked to a school counselor and an actual therapist and neither ever asked to see. Both refused to look if I offered or begun to roll up my sleeve. So, In conclusion, No. Unless you are in immediate danger due to these injuries a therapist will not request to see them. Especially since he is a male and you a female and he is your therapist it would be unprofessional of him to ask.

In my personal experience, male therapists want to give you your space and not run into a scenario where you feel uncomfortable. They may ask if you want to show them your scars, but for the most part, they know that self harm scars can be very personal and triggering so if they give you the option to show them, they would definitely understand if you said no. In most cases, therapists don’t ask to see your scars unless you offer to show them; they don’t need any “proof†to confirm that you do self harm. This also applies to any part of your body that you may self harm; even if your scars are in a fairly visible space, most therapists don’t ask to see them.
