From my personal experience, I was first scared of getting help because even though the situation I was in wasn't ideal, it was familiar. It was the situation I was used to all my life so anything different from it felt foreign and unknown to me. Getting help at first was a terrifying thought. I didn't know what was on the other side. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I wasn't even sure if I could even be helped with my situation. But in the end, I'm glad I sought help after. Even though the healing journey might be full of ups and downs, I can definitely hope that it's better now than it was before.
i'm worried about my friend's mental health. Everyone views him as rude but no one ever praises him for anything and lash out at him all the time, so he responds. How can I help the situation?

I’m feeling suicidal, but I have no one to talk to. I can’t call any hotlines or anything like that because of my severe social phobia and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere I can chat to someone. Where can I get some help and feel safe doing this?
