Choosing to share what you're going through is a personal choice, and in some instances people can get over certain issues when given enough time. However, speaking to someone can have a lot of benefits, and bottling things up can easily lead to a snowballing effect in which problems seem to grow bigger very fast. If you choose not to speak to anyone, that's your choice, and no one else can make that decision for you. However, you may want to consider the benefits that can come from reaching out, such as feeling relieved from releasing suppressed feelings and being able to get support.

if you dont tell anyone about you issues they will all build up inside you and be suppressed for a long time and will only make you feel worse. it is better to talk about it, and honestly it will feel like a weight lifted off your shoulders. it can be anyone you want to tell, just it will help to feel like someone knows and you can talk to them about it because otherwise you will only start to feel worse holding it all in. you can even talk to me about what it is that is bothering you. it is what i am here for. :)

Speaking to others about your issues is definitely helpful. Of course, if you don't feel comfortable talking about your problems, you are not obliged to. However, sharing can help you feel a sense of release and may help you to contextualize and understand the problem better. Often times, other people will be able to provide support, assistance, and understanding as you work through your issues. Keeping it all bottled up may lead to stress, loneliness, confusion, and a feeling of being misunderstood. After a while of keeping everything a secret, it can begin to wear down on a person.

Talking out loud about what’s going on in your head and explaining it to someone else, even if you think it doesn’t make sense, helps you to clarify the things that are worrying you. Saying things out loud, often makes them less scary, and at least by having to sort through your feelings you know a bit more about you’re dealing with. Keeping things inside only lets them build up and get confusing. Just know that you can minimize your problems by discussing them with those you trust. Give your pain a voice, and let someone listen. You will be amazed at how much weight will be lifted off your shoulders.
