I believe we all need a helping hand at times, life throws us various curve balls. We can get knocked down, catch them and score or allow another on our team receive it. Hence, we have to build our team and give support to each other. In other words, no one is strong enough to handle all situations on their own. We are connected, whether alike or different, and it will always be so. The causes of mental illness may not be eliminated completely but they can be lessen and supported. Being strong implies being willing to understand and accept our human weaknesses., then making progress by reaching out in the right places with the right persons.

There are so many life and personal circumstances that happen. Even the strongest may find difficulties navigating through these at times. Also, how is strength being defined? Sometimes our circumstances make us stronger and we gain strength as a result of going through various experiences. And at other times, strength helps us to get through challenges. Some illnesses may also have a genetic component that cannot be beaten with strength. So yes, strength is good to have as part of the toolkit.
