There are any number of reasons why someone might lose interest, without more information about you, your history, your family history, substance use history and physical health information, it's impossible to "diagnose" you on a message board. Additionally, if I were seeing you in an office, I'd want to know more about any other symptoms you may have, your age, and whether you've had periods like this in the past. On the surface, without any background info, this could point to depression, ADHD, or just being a normal teenager who is still in the process of learning/finding out who they are by trying on different identities. It's also possible that you're just not stimulated by the things you were once stimulated by. Might be a good idea to talk with a therapist or doctor if this is something that's bothering you or you have additional symptoms that could help point to a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

There are several potential causes for loss of interest. When I experienced this, I realized that I was facing depression that was triggered by a series of traumatic life events. It can be very challenging to fight through depression, especially when you are loosing interest in the activities that you love. Although it was difficult to keep participating in my interests, ultimately, sticking it out and committing to the activities was incredibly helpful for my overall happiness, and invaluable in my own battle against depression. Although it comes and goes, contact with friends and immersion in community based activities have been very helpful to me personally.

What have you done on this? Have you talked to anyone about this?
You may just be uninspired. Or, if you've mostly lost interest in some of your old hobbies and need to explore some new passions. It is also possible this is the start of a mental disorder - such as depression. Don't panic! No matter what it is there is support. If you need a listener, I'm available :)

I’m feeling suicidal, but I have no one to talk to. I can’t call any hotlines or anything like that because of my severe social phobia and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere I can chat to someone. Where can I get some help and feel safe doing this?
