How do I stop dissociating while driving? I know this is very unsafe, and it just comes on. Is there any thing I can do to control this better?

In addition to what has been said, engaging in driver's commentary could prevent you from dissociating and be safer while driving. Driver's commentary is saying aloud everything that you see that could potentially affect you as a driver, for example, vehicles that are beside or behind you, crosswalks, etc. Consciously looking for things that will influence you, and talking aloud can reduce the amount you dissociate. If you do dissociate while performing the driver's commentary, realising that you are no longer talking might be easier to catch than 'I am no longer paying attention to the road'. Also, if there are others in the vehicle they can mention to you that you are no longer performing the commentary.
i'm worried about my friend's mental health. Everyone views him as rude but no one ever praises him for anything and lash out at him all the time, so he responds. How can I help the situation?

I’m feeling suicidal, but I have no one to talk to. I can’t call any hotlines or anything like that because of my severe social phobia and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere I can chat to someone. Where can I get some help and feel safe doing this?
