AI therapists aren't very common yet, there are different AI tools available online that can be therapeutic. These tools can be more affordable or accessible for some so people think they are helpful. For example, on 7 Cups Noni can be a good active listener for you while you wait for a human listener. It is a good measure for temporary support or relief. I personally think AI lacks true empathy, deep understanding, and the ability to handle complex emotional situations the way a human therapist can. AI therapy can be a useful supplement, but it’s not a full replacement for professional human care. Using both human and AI support is probably the best combination.
