It can be stressful when dealing with money especially when managing your expenses for the year. Saving money is the first step. The key is not to overwhelm yourself by thinking how much you need to save. Whether your saving $5 or $100 every lot but helps and adds up. Having a little envelope to put money away can be a great and easy start. By storing away the money and not seeing it daily it will help you not spend it. It is great that you want to prep yourself for future expenses that just shows your readiness to save. You are already having a great mindset.

Manage major expenses by cutting down on things you may not 100% need. Going to the movies once a month? Cut it. Instead, rent movies at home. Movie tickets cost $25-50 depending on the amount of people and the movie. In addition, snacks can cost up to $40-70 in theaters. Instead, rent a movie for $1-5 and pop homemade popcorn. This is a major way to reduce major costs with so many different things. Saving for a vacation? Maybe cut down for a month. Instead of saving $100-500 per month in vacation money, reduce it to less than $100. Really, how often will you go on a vacation? The average person takes vacations less than 5 times a year.
