No, believe me, sometimes they really do. I know that may be hard to accept now but one day you'll come to appreciate the wisdom of your elders. Even seek it out.

Because they think they are far more experienced than us and in most cases they are right.... but there are exceptions

Because they're older than you and have more experience in life than you. They're supposed to teach you and only want your best.

You may view it as your parents thinking they know everything when in fact they are sharing their life experiences with you. Your parents have lived through experiences that you have not yet had the opportunity to experience. When they share with you, it is a parent's way of trying to protect you from something they know could possibly be harmful for you. If you open your mind to having open conversation with a parent, they will most likely tell you why they know the particular thing you are asking about. Respect the fact that a parent has authority over you thus protecting you from a mistake that you potentially could have or may make.

They think that, because they were you once. Done the same things or similar and believe that skills and feelings stay the same but it changes all the time. Communication can help, and even then sometimes they may not listen but never quit! Relationship is work

Because they often find the similiarities on what has been going on with their days in the past. Unfortunately, we can safely say that what they experienced in the past was never going to be the same as what we experienced nowadays, even on the same occasions.

That is just a thing that parents do. But the thing is that they are mostly right about the things they say.

they don't think so ... it's just that parents can get realy worried about you they can seem tuff ... they rather punish you or band you from something they think it's harmful for you and be hated by you ,yet you'll be safe .... than letting you do as you please and think that's what love is .... maybe talking to them and seeing it from their prespective'd work

Parents typically think they know everything because they have more experience than their kid does. In most situations, they're just trying to help, even if they're really not.

Because they just think they do. They really don't know everything but they do know a lot based on personal and just regular knowledge
