A parents jobs is to provide guidance. At times these rules can carry profound lessons that are occasionally misunderstood by the child. Most of the time these rules are meant to keep you safe, guided and will help you if carried on in later life.

You must consider that lots of rules that parents have, while seemingly unreasonable to any degree, are likely in place to protect you or to set your future up to success. They have these rules because of things they experienced in the past that they do not want you to experience. So by enforcing these rules, it might give them comfort knowing that you will utilize it in your future as a habit. Understand that the majority of parents do not seek inconvenience their children's lives, but it is up to them to raise their kids as respectful reflections of who they are as parents. Meaning all kids are a reflection of who their parents are, and they want your reflection of them to be clean, grit free, and happy.
