It can seem overly demanding at times — and perhaps it is, as parents are imperfect human beings — but likely they do not want to see you make the same mistakes they may have in their youth or even in recent years. It can be frustrating if you feel they are overly nosy or controlling, but I promise it is because they care and ultimately they wish you to be happy.

Your parents love you and they want you to be successful, sometimes they make it hard but they are doing this for you and the harder they push you the more hope they have that you can accomplish greatness. If you think they are pressuring you too much you can always talk to them about it but mainly it's the fact they want to see great things from you. Plus, if you continue to work really hard they will see what great progress you are making and then might lighten up. You just have to keep a positive open mind.
