The best way to get your parents to listen to you would be to lay it out straight. Tell them opinion, feelings and such on the matter straight out. The more real and confident you are about how you approach and discuss your opinion on the subject, will show your parents how serious you are.

You can mirror their behaviour as they may not be aware. If you ignore them and they ask you why you are ignoring them explain that you feel ignored and how that makes you feel and make sure you apologise for ignoring them too. You might also want to speak up as when adults get older their hearing goes. Lastly, if your parents don't listen to you try other methods of communication...options include sign language, writing a letter to them, making a song called " I love you but you don't listen to me " etc.

Keep silent for a moment. And respectfully ask them if you can explain your side. But never forget your tone of voice, with respect.

You should tell them that you are a human being that can think and say that what is right or wrong. Tell them that you should be taken seriously.

Let them know how you feel and why you feel that way (they will ask why, so you may want to think about that) and give examples of when you felt they didn't listen and what made you feel that way. :) Be honest with them and try to work through it together.

Try talking to them properly about it and I'm sure they will explain why they don't listen to you and what is bad for you. :)

Every parent has there problem with ignoring their child's words. It happens a lot and the best way to get them to listen is to non-verbally ask to do it first, with a text or a note. Then when they come to listen, tell them your concerns or problems.

When your parents do not listen to you, it can make you feel alone or that you can't rely on them. Its a hard feeling, but the best thing you could do is try to talk to them about it and see if they understand. If not, you could always seek guidance from another family member or therapist
