Is it bad to be jealous of my friend and my brother dating? My friend gets treated by my family better than me, it’s like I shouldn’t even be here. I don’t want to tell her or it will bring her down.

Jealousy is an emotion that eats up many of us and it’s unhealthy and prevents us from moving forward. It distorts our view on a situation. If you can try and change that emotion around into a positive it will motivate and inspire you to move forward. Try to concentrate on yourself and be the best you know you can be and you will see the shift in your emotions in regards feeling jealousy. Try this and experience the difference and you will find there will be no need to tell her or bring her down. Bringing her down will leave you feeling just as bad because everyone will feel for the person that was hurt and you don’t need any negative attention. Take care

it is normal to feel this way. it is never a good feeling to feel like someone else is more accepted than you are by the people that are closest to you. I feel the best way to handle the situation is, to be honest, have a conversation. Or else this can continue being an issue and could even become a more severe problem. if they are truly your friend they would understand your position and be supportive. But it is likely that your friend will not know there is any issue or that you are feeling down like this if you do not tell her.
