No, it is not stupid. If you think this is the best decision for yourself and you know you'll be able to take care of yourself, you should do it.

I think it's definitely not "stupid"! I can recognize from your question that you have strength and initiative to make your life better and more stable, and that's amazing! I think you should move out and be more independent, but in the same time it would be good if you would have someone to support you in doing that, especially a professional. These kinds of life changes are quite a big deal and they can potentially push us out of balance that we've created during the previous period, no matter how weird that balance was. So make sure to be gentle and loving towards yourself and get yourself an army of support! Good luck!

It isn't stupid to consider moving out, in fact, I think it's admirable if someone tries to escape an abusive environment. However, such a step needs to be carefully planned. You need to make sure that you're financially sound before moving out, that should be your priority. Do you have enough money to pay for rent, groceries, insurances, and other bills? Do you earn enough to save money for unexpected expenses? Will you be able to afford higher education? If yes, go ahead. You'll have more freedoms but a lot more responsibilities too. Maybe you can move in with a friend?
