All families are different, how one family shows affection may differ from how yours does. That doesn't mean that they care any less about you. If you feel timid talking to your entire family about this, try speaking to one member who you feel the most comfortable with first. Talking about it might give clarity on how to resolve this or it can open the communication channel within your family.

We can't control the way other people in our lives will act, we can only control the way we act. It may seem unfair when you try to get affection, and none comes your way.
In my personal experience, you can't please everyone, and no matter what you do people will treat you badly. It is a shame that family isn't as loving as we would like them to be, but the way they act is completely out of our power. The only thing we can do is continue to be the best us we can be and if we do that, we will see fruits of our labor and get the affection we deserve

Some people show love in different ways, or not at all. But this doesn't mean that they don't love you, they just have trouble showing it in a way that most people see as showing love. Everyone's family loves them in their own way

Sometimes people don't know how to express their love, or it's hard to see that they truly do love you. It's great that you love them so much, maybe have a conversation with them about how you're feeling and hopefully you can start to feel the same kind of love in return that you give to them.

Your family would probably argue that they DO love you and they DO show you love. Everyone shows and interprets love differently. Whenever you feel like someone in your life isn't showing you love or is actively showing you that they don't care about you, it's important to talk to them about how you feel about the relationship. Communication is the foundation of a strong relationship, whether it's with a boyfriend, your sister, your parents or a friend.

How do they treat you? They provide you with food, shelter, love and all your basic necessities now don't they? You love them and they love you too. :) Love need not be shown always, it just needs to be there when necessary.

People often say they can't choose their family but i think you can. Family is someone who loves you regardless of everything. Your "family" doesn't understand that. This time choose your own family.

Some people do not know how to love properly, or know how to show it. Sometimes their own personal trauma can cause them to become this way, however, some people just are narcissistic in nature. They do not care about the feelings of others, and only care about what others can do for them. I am sorry to feel that you are feeling this way, it is painful searching for love/acceptance from people, and not receiving it from the people who should be giving it to you. Please know this does not diminish your worth, you are worthy of love even when others are not able to show it properly.
