Every time I ask mum to teach me how to drive because I’m 16 she reply’s with a massive speech saying that I’m not ready but isn’t that why you teach me so I actually know how to like what do I do?

Having someone telling you you're not ready when you think you are can be very frustrating, but you have to look at her point of view: It seems like it is more a fear that she has than you. It's possible that you are totally ready but she's not the one ready to let you drive.
If you show her frustration and impatience, she'll think you're this irrational teenager that cannot be say no to so she'll go against you.
Try to remember her all of her points as to why you shouldn't and try to find a way to reassure her that you are ready.
You might not feel heard but maybe the reason why is she doesn't feel listened to and you actually have to listen to her fear and comfort her that her fears are unfounded.

Mum is more than likely drawing her conclusion that you are not ready based on other things such as how you do things at home and at school. Parents also look for a certain amount of maturity that you may not be exemplifying to her as of yet. Maybe it would be to your advantage to sit down with mom and ask her what she needs to see in you that would give her the assurance that you are able to handle the responsibility of driving. up your game on the chores and other things you are asked to do. Well, have you asked her why she doesn't think you are ready? Maybe she is afraid you will get hurt. You could just give her a little more time to adjust. Im sure, that when you are ready she will teach you how to drive. Meanwhile, try giving her reasons to prove you are ready to learn to drive. That could be good! You could have a conversation with her about, why you want to drive. What will she get out of it? Maybe not having to drive you places? I just think she could be trying to protect you.
