I think it's a lovely thing you want to do and are trying to do, to share who you are with your mother and let her know who you identify as.
It's simple really and nothing much to it other than just going to your mum and just talking to her and saying those words. I am sure you know that as well apart from how to cope with the anxieties which is also simple as in just facing it and going ahead with it anyway and knowing whether it's best to share it or not depending on what kind of person your mother is and what her reaction will be.
I hope she is understanding and accepts you for who you are because that's what you deserve and need and should get.

I can’t give you advice, but I can share my story and feelings on the situation.
When I came out, I was obviously terrified because of the horror stories I had heard from others. I kept hinting around about my sexual orientation and “testing the waters†to see how they would feel if it was someone else. This made it so much harder because I would get mixed responses and didn’t want to ruin our relationship. I finally just did it. I told my family and they reacted in many different ways. Some were ok and others not so much. It was tough to handle the negative but the outpouring of love and support from the accepting people was worth it.
It’s not easy to just come out because we are afraid of what reaction we will get, but remember that no matter how your mom reacts, your feelings are valid and its ok to be who you are. If you have a good friend support system, maybe you could have one of them there for moral support when you decide to have the conversation with your mom. Keep your head up! You got this!
