Exercise is very important in many aspects. One of the main reasons is it keeps us healthy. But people fail to realize that it not only strengthens our muscles, it also strengthens mental health. Exercising releases chemicals in your brain that make you happy.

Exercise is beneficial in so many ways. Obviously the physical, weight control, feeling good, being alert, etc., but the biggest benefit is how it affects me emotionally: study after study shows that one of the best ways to deal with depression is to exercise, no matter how much, on a regular basis. Even a 15-minute walk once a day has a major impact on my mood, and I never, not once, even in the middle of a serious depression, didn't feel just a bit better after getting my body moving. A friend once said "The mind follows the body", and if I take my body for a walk (or a run, or a swim!), my mind is always grateful and easy afterwards....

Exercise is a natural way to boost your mood. It helps develop and maintain muscle and bone strength, keeps your body and mind healthy, makes you disciplined and resilient as a person, and provides heaps of other benefits. That being said, please don't assume that you can only exercise when you break a pool of sweat (: You may start off with milder exercises before you feel comfortable to try the harder ones. All the best!

as someone who has struggled with insecurity and my weight, excercise not only makes me feel better about myself but it’s also refreshing to see that I can change myself, for the better. It helps relieve frustration, it makes you feel more confident, and it gives you time to think about what’s been on your mind or bothering you lately. It gives you time to reflect and entertain yourself.

Exercise is important for everyone. It can help improve your mood, make you love your body more, feel accomplished when reaching a goal (weight, how many push ups/sit ups you can do in a certain amount of time etc..) , and above all, it is very healthy.

Exercise makes your brain produce endorphins, which can help with depression, other mental illnesses, and general lack of motivation. It also helps keep your body physically fit, your muscles toned, and it even helps with your posture (which in turn can keep headaches and migraines at bay). You've probably heard that you need to exercise so you can be unrealistically skinny or muscular (read: attractive), but that's dumb and honestly it kept me from exercising for years because I genuinely hated my body and no amount of exercise was gonna change that. Once I stopped thinking about exercise as a chore I had to do for OTHER people's benefit, I started seeing it as something I do for myself because it makes ME feel good. Because that's what it should be - something to make you feel good.
