Your physical health is just as important as your emotional/mental health, and those do go side-by-side. If you want to be a better, healthier person emotionally, then you also need to aspire to be just as fit physically, because one does effect the other. I notice that with myself, if I don't get oput and do something, I feel worse as a person. Exercising is also important to keep you healthy; being sick is absolutely no fun whatsoever.

Exercise is important for me because not only is it a form of self-care that makes me feel healthier both physically and psychologically, but it is the one time in the day that I dedicate to myself and for myself. I can just run, and think a lot, or not think at all. I can admire nature and be alone but not feel at all lonely. I can run despite bad weather or soreness or the lack of desire to run, and know that I am able to put my mind over matter. It reminds me that I have the ability and resilience to accomplish something, even if it is something as little in my life as running a few miles. Exercise is important to me because it reminds me of the best version of myself. The true version of me that does not give up when thats the only thing I want to do.

Exercise doesn't just help improve my physical health. It also helps me feel relieved when I'm stressed out like going for a run for an example.

Exercise is important for a few reasons. Firstly, there's the long time health benefits, living a longer healthier life. From there there are a few other reasons. Exercising regularly can boost your "feel good" chemicals in your brain, resulting in better mood over all and happiness, and it also can leave you stronger and fit, which can boost your confidence and body image.
