Exercise is important for me because it gets my energy up, helps me feel active, and gives me something to do that takes my mind off things if my mind starts getting too overwhelmed with thoughts. And, not to mention, it is good for your physical health, which is intimately linked to your mental health. Although it can be somewhat daunting to try and figure out what exercise to do exactly, just getting out there and moving, even if its just walking can be extremely good for you. And finally, when you exercise regularly it can help give my life some structure, which is also important.

Exercise is important to me because it keeps my body healthy. I walk about 3 miles and run about 2 miles daily. I find it beneficial because I don't get as tired as I used to when walking around campus. It also plays a role in my mental health. With exercise, I am able to let go of all my worries in that moment. Whether I am stressing about a problem that I am having school, such as doing poorly in my classes, or whether I am stressing about a family problem, exercising helps me forget those problems and let go of some of that stress.

So, there are the obvious physical benefits, like reduction of risk of health conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart conditions, but, there are also tremendous mental benefits. Exercise releases neurochemicals like endorphins and serotonin to help improve mood and battle mental illness. It also helps to regulate sleep patterns, which is another step to improving your mental state. Exercise can also improve your social health. By getting out to go for a jog with a friend, joining a recreation sports team, or finding a new friend at the gym, exercise helps us to keep from isolating ourselves, as isolation can lead to worsened mental states.

Exercise is important because it has endless physical and psychological positive impact. But the science, although interesting, we are usually unaware of the changes that occur in our bodies when we exercise. Therefore I won't get into that.
I will talk about the changes that we can be aware of. First off, when we exercise, we are able to have time just for ourselves. It allows us to disconnect from the world and do something just for us. If we have a lax schedule we can have that 1hr booked just for us.
Exercise also helps with discipline and develops patience.

It keeps me healthy. I am not slim at all, but I enjoy working out and keeping my mind as well as my body healthy.
I like being able to push myself and see physical changes in my body as well as mental changes. In the words of Nike I know I can "just do it."
Starting exercise is like starting a habit, you need to be consistent. It is so easy to not exercise, the world is set up that it's cheaper to be unhealthy than it is to be healthy but keep your eyes focused on the prize. And that is having a healthier life

Exercise is a very important part of my life and daily routine. It is very common that our everyday life brings with it many tensions, negative emotions, problems and anxieties. This happens to all of us and is all part of the natural flow of our lives. These emotions and feelings which seem all mental actually have a physical component in our bodies in the form of energy. Even health problems can occur when these energies remain trapped in our bodies. Negative emotions must be released from our bodies in order to be released from our minds. If we want to be happy and balanced, we must have a channel to release these energies. This is where exercise comes in. Any repetitive physical movement which is performed daily will help greatly to release these energies.
This is why exercise is important to me. Also, of course, there is also the benefit of avoiding overweight issues and so on.

Exercise is so important and has so many health benefits - both physical and mental. If you are feeling anxious or depressed, a tough workout can be a great mental reset or a nice break from living in your head. It's a very mindful task because you can usually only focus on your breathing or how hard you're working. I get a lot of stress relief from exercise. And it releases endorphins, which are happy chemicals in your body. Furthermore, there are obvious physical benefits like toning muscles or weight loss. However, those are only secondary to the mental benefits for me.

Exercise is not only beneficial to the body, but also the mind and soul. Exercise increases the blood flow the the brain, improving mental sharpness and concentration. Instead of having that 3pm coffee, consider heading to the gym for a energy boost instead. Exercising also increases oxygen to the brain, overall improving mental freshness and helps us to think clearly and rationally. Doing physical activity will also help people fight obesity and other related diseases. If you are constipated, exercise will help speed up digestion and improve gut health.
Exercising releases a happy hormone called dopamine so it's basically a drug you can get for free and it doesn't have any health consequences!
