To maintain personal fitness and energy levels. Exercise also helps keep me focused, and boosts my mood in times I would normally feel depressed. It is therapy for me. If I wasn't able to exercise on a daily basis, my chronic pains would only get worse; I have to keep moving. Maintaining flexibility through yoga, and a rigid cardio routine help keep my joints feeling young, and dulls my chronic pain to a manageable level without needing medication. I am grateful to be able to exercise daily, and to see the results. Patience and time~!

Exercise is, first off, important for your physical health in the long term. You can protect your cardiovascular system, level of cholesterol, and metabolism so that you do not develop heart diseases or diabetes. Additionally, you protect your mental health. It is supported that exercise, firstly, releases the same chemicals in the reward center of your brain as doing drugs and drinking, which are much less healthier options. As a result, you will reduce your risk of being diagnosed with depression or depressive-related disorders. Additionally, exercise helps alleviate stress and maintains your cortisol levels in your brain, specifically the hypothalamus. Nevertheless, exercising doesn't just improve your physical health, but your mental and emotional health as well.

Exercising has a lot of benefits physically, mentally and even socially.
Physically:
When you exercise, you don't only get fit and healthy on the outside, but also on the inside. Your internal organs will function more healthy preventing you from potential illness such as blood pressure, diabetes...etc.
As for on the outside, whats better than looking amazing and getting stronger? it may even open more opportunities to you in various subjects like relationships or work. (see the social part)
Mentally:
A fit body = a fit mind.
Your brain needs exercise where more of your blood will reach your brain, making it functions more smoothly.
also psychologically, exercise produces the hormones of happiness, just like chocolate ! and produces more hormones that makes you more active and creative.
Socially:
Yes exercising plays a huge role in boosting your social life. You get to meet and interact with new people, maybe make new friends. Not only it affects that part of social life, also relationship and marriage ! Yes !
being fit will allow you to look more dependable and to provide more - physically - to your partner like sexual and romantic issues.

Exercise is essential in our life for two reasons, the effect is has on our physical health, and the effect it has on our mental health. Physical health is the easiest to look at and understand. It helps with muscle tone, blood flow, and weight management. On the flip side, the positive effects exercise can have on our mental heath are a bit more subdued. The hormones our body releases during a workout and after promote happiness and well being. We also, over time, can see our reflection in the mirror looking more toned and sexy and our body image can go through the roof. Exercise in general is one of the best things that can be done to assist overall health.

As a kid I wasn't particularly keen on it, being the bookish, nerdy student, but for the last few years exercise has been an important constant in my life. Aside from helping me feel healthy and fit it helps ease my anxiety and almost constant (mental) tension by releasing all those happy hormones. When I am low on self-esteem It also gives me a sense of accomplishment to see improvement in my physical abilities and to feel the burn of my muscles. I would not be able to cope without exercise, I believe and I am glad I discovered the right (i.e. the most fun) kind of exercise for me.

Exercise is important to us because it serve as a stress reliever. Just imagine, you are having a horrible day either at school, work, during family get together and sometime need something to relax and release some stream. You don't have to go excessive with the exercise to relax it can be simply walking around the block, taking your dog for a walk, walking your child to school, (if not to far from your house). And it also can improve your mood, blood circulation, and even your mental focus. When I have too many thoughts racing around my head and can't focus on the task at hand. I exercise, if allowed, I am able to relax and focus more on the task.
