I, myself seem to currently be feeling the same way. Constantly worrying about what I eat, how many carbs I need to burn, what exercises to do that burn the most calories, and worrying about if I gain weight, ect. Sometimes the act of wanting to lose weight can be due to other mind processes. It could be used kind of like a tool to try and fill a space where your mind would overthink about something else. Think about other things that you worry about or possibly think about as much as losing weight. Maybe it could be an anxiety thing or something such as that. It is not always a bad thing, but once it becomes unhealthy is most likely a good time to seek out more help.

The persistent thoughts regarding weight loss can be symptoms of eating disorders or precursors of it. They stem from a thought pattern revolving around low self esteem and lack of love for oneself. A way of tackling them is to nite them down , and the use positive affirmations like ' my body is perfect and I love it ' so as to change and control those thoughts :)
