Becoming comfortable with your body and diet doesn't actually have much to do with what you eat or what you look like--it starts from the inside. Changing the way you think about yourself can make a very big difference in how comfortable you feel about the way you look or what you eat. Talk to and about yourself kindly, compliment yourself, treat yourself the way you would a friend. Make sure that your focus on the way you look and what you eat is healthy and positive too. Instead of focusing on looking thin, focus on being healthy. Altering the way you think can make all the difference!

One of the hardest things to live with is being uncomfortable in your own skin and not being proud of what you eat. The only way to be proud of yourself is to either accept it or do something about it. Not become anorexic or anything like that, but you have to work for a better body. If you want to be thinner or fitter, exercise. If you want to gain weight, then exercise to gain healthy weight. A diet is also something that will constantly be with you. Just remember, if you want to achieve something, you need to do it. Nothing will happen if you sit in your bed with your cat on your laptop, I learned that from years of being uncomfortable with my body.

Everyone is different and requires different amounts of nutrients. The best way to feel comfortable with this is to just accept you are who you are. If you have curves or are completely flat, that's 100% natural and that's 100% you. Just be you!

I felt better about my body and diet when I stopped comparing myself to others. I would see individuals who were eating extremely healthy and in turn felt bad about my eating choices. Instead of expecting myself to meet their standards, I started making small steps towards my health goals, that were more manageable. I stopped expecting myself to meet my long term goals that day or the next day or even a month later. After looking online I realized that no one realistically meets all their health goals in a short period of time. I also realized that my body changes over time and as I age, and expecting myself to look like a 20 year old for the rest of my life isn't realistic or healthy.
